The Hortons - A Carolina Mountain Wedding

Hi friend!

Welcome back to my blog! I am so glad you’re here. My name is Leah Davis. I am the heart and soul behind Fairlight Visual, my photography business! I love documenting the most important moments of life. I cry with my brides on their wedding day and go through so many emotions while shooting a wedding!

This was the case with one of my most recent weddings. This wedding was particularly special because my childhood best friend was the bride. Hayley and I have been friends through church for about ten years now, and I was more than honored when she asked me to be her wedding photographer and put her trust in me to document one of her most important moments.

I, of course, agreed and began to plan with her! The wedding had beautiful neutral tones and a boho-esque feel with the use of pampas grass and chiffon fabric on the tables. The couple chose to have grazing tables, filled with charcuterie-style meats, cheeses, crackers, fruit, all of the above! The best part about the day though was the ceremony and the bridals shortly after; Hayley and Lane just glowed with love for one another. It was beautiful watching their relationship reach the next milestone and to watch their families come alongside them and support them.

The venue, Chapman Farmstead in Traphill, North Carolina, was surrounded by beautiful forest, mountain, and farm views, directly from the patio! The venue owners were so kind and helpful. They even arranged the charcuterie boards after the ceremony—above and beyond helpful, I tell you!

Wrapping up this post by saying thank you to Hayley and Lane for your trust, and thank you to the readers! Much love to you all!

Leah Davis
